Climate change is a global issue that focuses on global warming caused by human emissions of greenhouse gases and the resulting large scale shifts in weather patterns. It is impacting human lives in various ways, such as threatening the essential ingredients of good health, clean air, nutritious food supply, and safe shelter, and has the capacity and potential to undermine global health. SRADev Nigeria, as a professional body strongly advocates that mitigation and adaptation are good solutions to issues of climate change.

Mitigation:  reducing climate change. The goal of mitigation is to avoid significant human interference with the climate system, and “stabilize greenhouse gas levels in a timeframe sufficient to allow ecosystems to adapt naturally to climate change. Adaptation: adapting to life in a changing climate. The goal is to reduce our vulnerability to the harmful effects of climate change (like sea-level encroachment, more intense extreme weather events, or food insecurity). We are committed to ensuring that these two solutions are provided in our environment.
